We’re going to see a tree? Really? Granted, it was the Yuletide season, but this one was not decorated for the holidays.

Christmas in Mexico pretty much guarantees the holidays will not be snow-covered, but there is plenty of cheer to enjoyed nonetheless. This year we headed to the Southern part of the country — first Oaxaca, then Puebla, and finally Mexico City.

The Christmas holidays are all but out the door at this point, at least the way we celebrate at the Marshall house. If tradition holds, within the next few hours . . .

After years of living together, I have concluded that my brain has a mind of its own. It likes to meander down unknown pathways, often mesmerized in its own little world.

Our home acquires a festive look this time of the year, not that it is sad or dreary during the other months. Holiday decorations adorn the living room, giving visual evidence that ‘tis the Christmas season.
